Hi, I'm Annie, founder of Latched OT
Â
Hello! I'm a licensed occupational therapist (OT) and lactation consultant dedicated to supporting families through their breastfeeding and parenting journeys. My passion for this work stems from my own challenging postpartum experience, where I felt the weight of isolation and the frustration of not having the support I needed—both personally and professionally. That experience fueled my mission: to ensure that no parent ever feels alone, unheard, or discouraged as they navigate the early days of feeding and caring for their baby.
As an OT, I bring a unique and invaluable perspective to lactation support. My background allows me to assess feeding holistically, considering not just latch and milk supply but also sensory processing, motor development, and the parent-baby connection. I help families troubleshoot breastfeeding challenges with a deep understanding of infant reflexes, oral motor function, and positioning strategies tailored to each baby’s needs. This integrative approach ensures that both parent and baby are supported in a way that fosters confidence and long-term success.
Through my work at Latched OT, I provide evidence-based, compassionate guidance to help families meet their feeding goals—whether that means exclusive breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or finding a path that works best for them. My goal is not just to provide answers but to empower parents with knowledge and encouragement, so they feel confident in their choices and supported every step of the way.
You are not alone in this journey. I am here to walk with you, providing the care, understanding, and expertise you deserve as you navigate this precious and transformative time in your life.
